Ultrasound Sonographer

ExecuSource is assisting on a search for a Sonographer for a hospital client in Cookeville, TN. You would work directly with patients and physicians, performing a variety of specialized sonographic procedures.

Compensation

• $32.00 - $42.00/hr, depending on experience
• Optional sign-on bonus of $7,500 for candidates with 2+ years of experience, with an 18-month commitment. Requires working one additional shift per payroll period if the hospital deems it necessary.
• Relocation assistance of up to $5,000. If you take the sign-on bonus, the relocation commitment is covered by the 18-month agreement. If you take relocation only, the commitment is 12 months.

What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, prepare exam rooms, and keep the department stocked
• Provide patient care and safety in line with department standards
• Use independent judgment and initiative
• Handle front-line department tasks: customer service, phone communication, data entry and retrieval in HIS/RIS/PACS, cleaning of exam and work areas, and infection control
• Meet the hospital's service standards with patients and colleagues

What you'll need

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or Business required, bachelor's preferred
• Registry-eligible candidates must earn ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire
• Responsibility for earning your own continuing education credits to stay in good standing with ARDMS
• Hands-on scanning experience in OB/GYN, abdomen, vascular, endovaginal, small parts, and ultrasound-guided procedures
