Looking for a great opportunity to step out of hands-on field work and into a traditional Monday-Friday setting? A well-known manufacturing company specializing in residential and commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration products is seeking a Plumbing & Electrical Assistant.

This temporary-to-hire position offers the opportunity to become a permanent employee based on performance and is an excellent fit for a Plumbing Assistant, Plumber Helper, Electrical Assistant, Electrician Helper, Maintenance Technician, or other skilled trades professional who wants to take their existing experience into a customer-facing role.

The Plumbing & Electrical Assistant will use their previous hands-on plumbing, electrical, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience to assist customers over the phone and virtually with diagnosing and troubleshooting water heating equipment. The company will provide training on its products, and this individual will assist customers, contractors, and service professionals experiencing product operation, service, and installation issues.

To be considered, candidates must have at least 1 year of previous plumbing, electrical, maintenance, mechanical, or related hands-on experience, with a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and the ability to diagnose equipment issues. Candidates must be comfortable reading, writing, and comprehending instructions, manuals, and product information, as well as confidently communicating information to customers over the phone.

Previous experience as a Plumbing Assistant, Plumber Helper, Electrical Assistant, Electrician Helper, Maintenance Technician, HVAC Technician, or similar skilled trades position is highly preferred. Experience troubleshooting water heaters, HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, plumbing systems, electrical components, or other mechanical/electrical equipment is a plus.

This is NOT a physical plumbing, electrical, maintenance, or field position. This is a great opportunity to take the knowledge and troubleshooting skills you have built in the field and transition into a customer-facing environment. Instead of traveling to job sites or performing hands-on repairs, you will help customers, contractors, and service professionals troubleshoot equipment remotely by phone and virtually.
