The role
Job Title: Mold Setup Technician – Injection Molding / Manufacturing
Location: Easley, SC
Pay: $23+/hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Our client provides a stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. They specialize in advanced plastic processing and are known for strong operational standards and a collaborative culture.
They are looking for you, an experienced Mold Setup Technician, to support production by performing mold changes, machine setup, and ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This is a direct hire opportunity within a growing organization.
What you get to do:
· Perform mold changes and setup functions for injection molding and/or thermoforming machines
· Load and position molds into presses and complete changeovers
· Set up and adjust auxiliary equipment (heat controllers, chillers, thermolators)
· Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to ensure product quality
· Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of molds and equipment
· Inspect molds for defects and ensure proper storage
· Complete documentation for all changeovers and setups
· Troubleshoot production issues and support process improvements
· Train and assist operators on proper machine usage and safety procedures
· Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
What you need to succeed:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Minimum of 6 months of plastic manufacturing or molding experience preferred
· Experience with injection molding, thermoforming, or similar processes
· Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications
· Forklift experience preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
