Laboratory Technician – Media Lab
Location: Norcross, GA
Pay: $20.00/Hour
Schedule: Onsite Daily / 8:30am - 5:00pm / Monday - Friday
Summary:
The Laboratory Technician – Media Lab supports the preparation of microbiological media, agar plates, and reagents in a high-volume production environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, teamwork, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
A college degree is not required. An AS in Biology or a related science field is helpful, as is prior laboratory or production experience. Training will be provided. Familiarity with GMP practices and sterile technique is a plus.

What you get to do:
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, balances, and pH meters.
- Prepare and dispense laboratory media, reagents, and agar plates.
- Maintain accurate inventory of media and reagents.
- Keep batch records and other laboratory documentation current and accurate.
- Follow daily direction from the Laboratory Analyst – Media Lab and Director of Quality Assurance.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and assist with other laboratory activities as needed.
- Occasionally assist the Legionella Laboratory with plating incoming water samples; training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required.
- Laboratory or production experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Reliable, positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records, and solve routine problems.
- GMP and sterile technique knowledge preferred.
