The role

Role: AI & MS365 Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA - Hybrid
Salary Range: $115,000 – $150,000

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Client is moving beyond the AI experimentation phase and actively shipping enterprise-grade production AI solutions. As an AI & M365 Platform Engineer, you will lead the standardization, governance, and operational execution of our enterprise automation and AI ecosystem.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Platform Architecture & Governance

  • Own the end-to-end architecture, lifecycle management, and environment strategies (Dev/Test/Prod) for Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI.

  • Enforce robust Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, connector governance, least-privilege access, and agent publishing controls.

  • Establish standards for agent deployment, code reuse, and data retrieval security to prevent data leakage and ensure data sources are properly permissioned and tagged.

Enterprise AI Enablement & Guidance

  • Function as a platform-agnostic AI advisor—guiding developers, business users, and stakeholders toward the optimal AI platform/model (evaluating Microsoft tools alongside OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) rather than forcing a single ecosystem.

  • Support, mentor, and guide internal development and business teams on AI agent creation, prompt design, and model fine-tuning for specific enterprise use cases.

  • Lead and manage the Power Platform & AI Center of Excellence (CoE), defining intake, approval, and compliance frameworks.

Integrations & Infrastructure

  • Integrate AI agents and automations with core enterprise systems via Microsoft Graph API, Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management), and third-party platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday).

  • Utilize Entra ID (RBAC, app registrations, service principals) to establish secure authentication (OAuth, managed identity) across external APIs and data sources.

Observability & Cost Management

  • Establish visibility into agent adoption, platform efficiency, and consumption patterns using Dynatrace, Log Analytics, or Application Insights.

  • Implement cost-control strategies, manage licensing models, and optimize capacity utilization across AI and automation workloads.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Enterprise Experience: 5–8+ years in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or enterprise cloud infrastructure supporting large-scale environments (thousands of users).

  • Hands-on AI Builder: Proven experience building, configuring, and shipping production-ready AI agents and workflows (Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, custom LLM integrations)—not just using AI tools as an end-user.

  • Platform-Agnostic Mindset: Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure ecosystems paired with an open-minded understanding of non-Microsoft AI platforms (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI).

  • Strong Security & Data Retrieval Focus: In-depth understanding of enterprise security, least-privilege permissions, data tagging, and preventing data leakage across AI model search spaces.

  • Technical Integration Skills: Solid hands-on experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Azure infrastructure, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

KEY COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS

  • Production Focus: Able to speak directly to real-world AI builds—what was shipped, what broke in production, and how friction was resolved.

  • Cross-Functional Influence: Able to translate business problems into secure technical solutions while collaborating across Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Analytics teams.

  • Balanced Approach: Equally comfortable acting as a platform enabler (helping teams build) and a governor (ensuring compliance and security).
