About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team. This position plays a key role in the month-end close process while supporting general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash management, reporting, and a variety of operational accounting functions. What You'll Do:
- Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, depreciation, and general ledger reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with treasury and cash management activities
- Prepare monthly sales and gross margin reporting
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Review and resolve customer order issues with Sales and Accounting
- Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle count approvals, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Review goods received accounts and resolve aging balances
- Assist with standard cost updates and operational accounting activities
- Support external audit preparation and month-end close activities
- Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analyses as assigned
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations
- Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
- Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus
- SAP experience is preferred but not required
- Cost accounting experience is a plus, not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player
