Accountant – Stafford, TX (Hybrid After Training)

Salary: $80,000
Employment Type: Full-time, Direct-Hire
Location: Stafford, TX (Fully Onsite During Training; 1 Remote Day/Week After 90 Days)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team. This position plays a key role in the month-end close process while supporting general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash management, reporting, and a variety of operational accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to join a stable organization where attitude, reliability, and teamwork are highly valued.


What You'll Do:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, depreciation, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with treasury and cash management activities
  • Prepare monthly sales and gross margin reporting
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
  • Review and resolve customer order issues with Sales and Accounting
  • Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle count approvals, and manufacturing variance analysis
  • Review goods received accounts and resolve aging balances
  • Assist with standard cost updates and operational accounting activities
  • Support external audit preparation and month-end close activities
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analyses as assigned


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus
  • SAP experience is preferred but not required
  • Cost accounting experience is a plus, not required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player
