Master Scheduler / Production Planner – Cabinet Manufacturing | Production Planning | MRP/ERP

Location: Alpharetta, GA 

Pay: 85-100k depending on experience 

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Onsite

Our client is a growing manufacturer specializing in custom wood building materials. They are known for delivering high-quality, made-to-order products and are looking to add a Master Scheduler / Production Planner to help optimize production flow and support continued growth. This is a direct hire opportunity reporting directly to the Director of Operations.

What you get to do:

  • Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  • Coordinate production flow between raw parts manufacturing and paint/stain finishing operations
  • Build daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, inventory, and capacity
  • Monitor production constraints and adjust schedules for material shortages, machine downtime, or changing customer priorities
  • Partner with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Quality to keep operations running efficiently
  • Maintain production data within the ERP/MRP system and support SIOP planning
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing bottlenecks, lead times, and WIP

What you need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience in Production Planning, Master Scheduling, or Materials Planning within manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, finite scheduling, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience in millwork/wood products, or other discrete manufacturing environments preferred
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
