IMMEDIATE Senior Accountant position available! We are currently representing a well-established client in the manufacturing industry seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment and partnering closely with leadership to support financial reporting, process improvements, and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable functions, including new vendor setup, invoice processing, and vendor payments.
- Maintain customer receivable accounts and ensure financial exposure is properly managed.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of company expenses.
- Oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory values and support inventory-related accounting processes.
- Prepare financial and analytical reports to support business decisions.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare documentation and schedules for year-end audits.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounting procedures, controls, and process improvements.
- Provide financial guidance and support to cross-functional departments regarding accounting impacts and procedures.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Support management with special projects, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Maintain effective communication across departments to support company objectives and accounting initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, and ERP systems.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
