Oncology Clinical Dietitian

Location: Fully Remote (Must reside in South Carolina)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Employment Type: Direct Hire (Hourly), competitive benefits 
Compensation: Starting at $31/hour (DOE)
Travel: Limited travel to the Upstate South Carolina area for training and/or meetings

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Oncology Clinical Dietitian to provide specialized nutrition education and counseling to outpatient oncology patients. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits, with the flexibility of a fully remote work environment for candidates residing in South Carolina.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, oncology nutrition experience, and a passion for supporting patients through evidence-based nutrition care during their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive oncology and wellness nutrition education and counseling to outpatient oncology patients
  • Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition recommendations based on diagnosis, treatment plans, and wellness goals
  • Educate patients on normal and modified nutrition plans, treatment-related nutrition concerns, and symptom management strategies
  • Provide nutrition guidance related to oncology care and enteral feeding as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Participate in occasional onsite visits, meetings, and patient support activities in the Upstate South Carolina area

Qualifications

  • Licensed and Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in the state of South Carolina required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care medical facility with responsibilities including nutrition assessments and patient education
  • Oncology nutrition and enteral feeding experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Innovative, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong patient counseling and education skills
