Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI
Salary: $88,000 – $110,000

Our client is a well-established law firm. They are seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to support firmwide financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.

What you'll be doing:
· Design and prepare detailed financial reports and analyses using accounting systems, reporting tools, and advanced Excel
· Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including management reporting, financial statement analysis, and ad hoc projects
· Assist with partner and associate compensation analysis and reporting
· Support high-visibility external surveys across firm departments
· Collaborate with FP&A leadership and serve as a key resource to junior analysts
· Own and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery
· Develop expertise in the firm’s financial systems and overall financial operations
· Utilize tools such as Excel, Power Query, SQL, and Tableau to extract and analyze data
· Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed

What you'll need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 7+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience
· Strong knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting
· Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas
· Experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (Tableau or similar)
· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to present complex financial information clearly across all levels
· Excellent organization and project management skills
· Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
· CPA is a plus
