Practice Type: Outpatient Orthopedic & Sports Medicine
Pay range: $38-45/hr, may have some flexibility dependent upon experience + Retention bonus of $2,500 paid after 6 months of employment
Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join this team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans with a focus on orthopedic and musculoskeletal imaging. You’ll play a critical part in the patient care experience, helping providers accurately diagnose and treat injuries in a fast-paced, patient-focused outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate MRI scanners to obtain clear, high-resolution images, primarily focused on musculoskeletal anatomy.

Prepare and position patients accurately and safely for MRI procedures.

Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, cooperation, and safety, especially in cases involving pain or limited mobility.

Work closely with orthopedic physicians and physician assistants to deliver imaging that supports accurate clinical decision-making.

Ensure all MRI procedures follow safety guidelines, including screening patients for contraindications.

Maintain accurate documentation and manage image uploads within PACS and EMR systems.

Perform daily quality assurance checks and communicate any equipment issues promptly.

Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain a clean, professional imaging environment.
Qualifications:

ARRT (MR) certification required
-
State licensure (if applicable)

1+ year of MRI experience, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine setting

Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and sports injury pathology

Familiarity with MRI safety protocols and comfort working with patients who have limited mobility or pain

Experience with PACS, EMR systems, and digital imaging workflows

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using MRI systems

Familiarity with imaging protocols specific to orthopedic and sports-related injuries (e.g., ACL, rotator cuff, labral tears)

Prior work in outpatient imaging centers or orthopedic clinics
