My name is Windham Pridgen, and I work with Frank Green at Execusource. I know that you will be excited to learn that the American Diabetes Association of Georgia has selected Frank as a 2016 Father of the Year honoree! This is truly a distinct honor and reflects what makes Frank such a great person. This is an award that Frank did not actively seek, but his reputation in Georgia and across the US drew the attention of the ADA.
You probably already know, Frank juggles an incredibly demanding and non-stop work schedule as Managing Principal at Execusource and recently celebrated a new partnership with JW Michaels & Co.. In addition, Frank is a devoted father to two wonderful sons; Henry and Teddy. His youngest son, Teddy, lives with type 1 diabetes, but doesn’t let that slow him down. Frank knows his most important role is being a father to his two great kids. He is a music lover (particularly 80’s music) and when he can fit it in, he enjoys traveling to far off countries like India, Russia and Morocco to experience other cultures with his boys. Needless to say, who better than Frank to receive such a well-deserved award.
The Annual Atlanta Father of the Year Awards is a high profile fundraising event hosted by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in collaboration with the national Father’s Day Council. Since 2000, this event has raised more than $33 million nationally, benefiting the ADA in support of its mission, to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. On a national and regional level, past awardees include some of the most prominent politicians, statesmen, religious leaders, entertainers and sports figures in the world. The event will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 6:30 PM at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta, GA.
So, I now come to the purpose of my letter! I hope I can count on you in supporting Frank and, most importantly, the work of the ADA by making a tax deductible contribution in the amount of $5,000 (or whatever you find appropriate). Our goal is to raise $400,000 in Georgia prior to the June event so your support is critical if the ADA is to achieve such a lofty goal. I am enclosing information about the ADA and the Father of the Year Award Program, which includes a variety of ticket and tribute journal opportunities along with a sponsorship form. You can also choose your level of support on Frank’s fundraising page at diabetes.org/frankgreen.
Thank you for your consideration. Frank is humbled by the award and proud to raise funds for a cause so close to his family. I do hope you will support this endeavor in any way you can so we can honor Frank and also help defeat diabetes in our lifetime and the over 1 million Georgians who currently live with this disease. If you have any questions regarding sponsorship, please contact Tiffany Kirkland at the American Diabetes Association at (404) 320-7100 ext. 3096 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
